Gia is a young Filipino woman who greatly believes in the power of the youth. An active student volunteer, she has over five years of experience in events, project coordination, operations, leadership, and management. She advocates for the rights of children, and her interests include accessible learning, innovation, youth development, participatory development, and social entrepreneurship. She is currently pursuing her bachelor’s degree at the University of the Philippines Diliman.

At the time of writing, she serves as a batch representative to the UP School of Economics Student Council. She is also the Vice President for Advocacy at UP Flyers, an organization that is dedicated to uplifting the spirits of terminally-ill children through hospital volunteerism, and is a current member and former Team Head for Staple Projects at the UP Economics Society. As a former Team Head for Staple Projects, she handled academic tutoring sessions and value-formation workshops for less fortunate children on the weekends, among other initiatives. 

Outside of her university, Gia is the Vice President for External Relations at the Pasig Achievers LEO Club, a youth-led organization dedicated to serving the community through development projects and relief operations, and is a Wish Captain at Make-A-Wish Philippines, wherein she leads teams through the process of granting wishes for terminally-ill children. She is also a former member of The Initiative PH, Youth Advocates for the Philippines, and Hult Prize PH. 

Aside from being involved in socio-civic and non-profit work, she frequently participates in business case competitions and other workshops, often with themes revolving around innovation for the welfare of society. She also has about two years of work experience in marketing and communications as a result of various internships and part-time jobs. In her free time, she enjoys baking desserts, solving puzzles, and playing video games.
